AmigoTrip helps travelers find compatible companions. To do that, we collect the minimum information needed to operate the service, match you with other travelers, and keep the community safe. We do not sell your personal data.

• Account data — name, email, password (hashed), and optional phone number for verification.
• Profile data — bio, photos, interests, languages, travel styles, and visited places that you choose to share.
• Trip data — destinations, dates, transport, budget, and notes you add to a trip.
• Activity data — matches, friend requests, messages, posts, comments, and reports.
• Verification data — government ID images and selfies submitted to our trust review team.
• Device & log data — IP address, user agent, and error/diagnostic logs needed to operate the service.

• Provide the service: account creation, matching, messaging, trip discovery.
• Trust and safety: detect spam, fraud, harassment, and abuse; review reports and verifications.
• Improve product quality: analyze aggregate usage, fix bugs.
• Communicate: send transactional emails (verification, password resets, important updates).

Profile information you mark public is visible to other AmigoTrip users. We share data with vetted processors only to operate the service (cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing where applicable). We disclose data to authorities only when legally required.

• Edit or hide profile information at any time from your profile settings.
• Request account deletion or a copy of your data by contacting support.
• Opt out of non-essential communications from your account settings.

We use industry-standard encryption in transit, hashed passwords, row-level authorization, and rate limiting on sensitive actions. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and report anything suspicious.

AmigoTrip is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email. Continued use of AmigoTrip after a change indicates acceptance.
